Q. Why is there a subscription?
A. Sippra requires a filter to clean your water, like all filter mediums they get clogged with all the junk they filter out of your water, So we will send you a filter depending on how much water you drink in a day!
Q. Will Sippra filter the fluoride in tap water?
A. Sippra does not filter out fluoride, keeping your teeth happy!
Q. What does Sippra filter?
A. Sippra will filter out organic compounds and residual chlorine. Please note that the plunger mechanism does not guarantee all water will pass through the filter, as some water may pass between the wall of the bottle and the filter. Sippra is not for the treatment of non-potable water – it is designed to make tap taste better, nothing beyond that (so please don’t go drinking out of the Yarra River with it!).
Q. Is Sippra BPA-free?
A. Yes, Sippra is BPA-free!
Q. Is Sippra dishwasher safe?
A. Yes, the Sippra canister is dishwasher safe. Make sure to remove the filter tree before you place the Sippra in the dishwasher. We recommend a quick hand-wash of the other components in hot soapy water to keep your Sippra as pristine as possible.
Q. Do you supply spare parts?
A. If you have an active subscription for more than 2 months, we are happy to supply you with spare parts at no cost (within reason). Lids have been known to go missing!
Q. Do you accept returns?
A. For health reasons we cannot accept a return on a used Sippra unless it has a structural defect. The majority of the time we will be able to send you a replacement part to fix whatever issue you have. If we see the need for a return we will inspect each unit on an individual basis to evaluate what the issue is. Shipping is not included for this service.
Q. Is there a cancellation fee or minimum Filters By Mail plan length?
A. No way! We’re pretty sure you’ll love Sippra, but in case you don’t you’re not locked into any contract. There are no fees and no minimum length to our Filters By Mail plan. We believe in Sippra, and you will too!
